The core mission of Pilgrim & Associates Arbitration, Law & Mediation LLC is to help clients efficiently overcome existing challenges to achieve their unique goals, and to anticipate issues of concern and avoid potential problems.
P&AALM has represented and advised sports leagues/associations, sports clubs, coaches and athletes on a wide variety of business and legal matters, including: regulatory compliance, contract negotiation and preparation, overseeing intellectual property registration and compliance, developing and managing drug testing programs, drafting dispute resolutions rules and regulations, and administering mediation, arbitration and grievance proceedings.
In the realm of finance and commercial dispute resolution, Pilgrim has been a seasoned arbitrator of financial industry customer complaints and employment matters for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) – formerly known as the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) – for over thirty years. She also arbitrates commercial, sports-related and consumer disputes for the American Arbitration Association, and is an arbitrator and mediator on the Panel of Distinguished Neutrals of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution.
In 2023, Pilgrim became a Policy Arbitrator for appeals for the Policy & Program on Substances of Abuse and the Policy on Performance-Enhancing Substances of the NFL Management Council and the NFL Players Association (collectively, the “NFL”).
Finally, Pilgrim conducts mediation for the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, among other New York courts and programs.
The firm was re-established in 2009, after Pilgrim returned from working as general counsel for two sports organizations.
